All of the adorable paintings and movie scenes you have seen where the streets of Dublin are lined with endless cozy little pubs, which have age-old character, yet seem timeless with their brightly painted facades and flower boxes - are absolutely accurate. It was like walking onto a movie set. Quick question for the Irish folk out there though, why in the hell is everything sticky? I swear, the street is sticky, the bar stools are sticky, the tables are sticky, the doors stick, my shoes stick to the floor, and good Lord, do not even ask me about the level of stickiness that can be found in the bathroom. Other than that, I can vouch for the level of friendliness to be found in the city as well as the how magical it is to have buskers and live music around every corner.
